About

[Sample bio — replace with your own story]

I started TeenInjury.org after spending a season sidelined by an injury that, looking back, was completely avoidable. The advice I found online was either too vague to act on or written for physical therapists, not for someone like me trying to figure out why my knee kept giving out during practice.

So I started reading the actual research — biomechanics papers, immunology studies on tissue recovery, sports medicine guidelines — and translating what I learned into something a teenage athlete could actually use before practice, not after an ER visit. This site is that translation work, made public.

I'm not a doctor or a physical therapist. Everything here is researched carefully and cited, but it's a starting point for understanding your body, not a replacement for medical care.
